Mel Gibson the day after

Of course it is all across the newspapers and headlines on the evening news. Mel Gibson had a falling apart experience. If you haven't been in the news today I will paraphrase the event. He was stopped while speeding on a Pacific Coast highway . The offense, 87 in a 45 mile zone. He was drunk. He had been drinking, whichever phrase one chooses. He became combative and starting making racial slurs towards Jewish people. I don't care to become specific with the slurs. He eventually was handcuffed and placed in the police car and carried away. Sad. I am sad. The news was concerned his acting career may be affected. Can he overcome the negative publicity? Will movie producers still consider him a box office money maker? Will the Jewish community forgive him? Today he offered a written apology with remorse and admittance to several wrong doings. I am wondering if anyone is concerned as to why he had a meltdown? Does he have them frequently? What is really going on with the famous star? The press wonders if he got special treatment? I wonder if he needs treatment? Sure he has the sharp jawline and the award winning smile. He was the brave warrior in Braveheart with an undying love for his family . He has awards and plenty of money I wonder what he is missing? To be loved when he is unloveable. To be accepted when he is tired of the Hollywood ratrace . To be a simple man for a day and walk among people without being attacked. Jesus said, don't wig out on me because I am quoting a scripture, he said, "come unto me all who are weary and I will give you rest." Maybe Mel needs rest, help, forgiveness, concern, understanding. Oh yes, I believe in consequences for a wrong committed. In fact, Mel did not receive special treatment. He got the same treatment the news offers each day. Hard, cold, specific ........ condemnation.
