All is well.

I hear the dripping of my coffeemaker. I look to see the time. Another blessed night of sleep. Almost 7am. I must wakeup and go over my Bible Study lesson again. I teach eight graders. Today's lesson is on Jesus power over the storms in our lives. Storms roll in without warning or the forecast may have predicted them for several days, either way we are affected. I have had a few storms in my life so far. I have met many during this course who have been blown away as well, but keeping my eyes upon the horizon not yet seen and knowing my Jesus holds everything in his hand has led me through difficult waters. I want to share my story and help others find the calmness only offered by my Lord. I want to make this story real to my eight graders this morning. Today, I sit here, only by the complete grace of God, to understand the storms our family has withstood and to claim their gift of peace as we made it across the sea. We are now standing on the shore. I am watching for others being tossed about. I won't let my eyes grow dim for others who need to see, people who have felt the high waters, but knew there was the One who calmed the sea. There is peace in this boat this morning, we are no longer tossed about. Safe in the harbour, yet we are watching for those still out. All is well with my soul.
