The grill is covered so our son won't grill us.
We purchased a new grill at Lowe's, sometime before Christmas. Our son did alot of the work putting it together, like reading the directions, rather than assuming one knows where the screws go. After it was rolled unto our deck, our son started fussing about getting a grill cover to keep it new. He was pretty adamant about this and everytime I went to Walmart he would quiz me about the cover. It wasn't somthing that was easy for me to remember to purchase as we have NEVER had a grill cover. He remarked to me the other day that he would never be putting another grill together if we did not take care of the one we had. Finally, today, after several weeks, we remembered the cover. Of course there are different sizes and such, so we had to call for our son to measure the grill. It measured an extra large and we quickly chose one. As I placed the famous cover over our grill I was thinking how important this was. I had learned something. I have had many grills in our married life, but never a cover and because our son had taken the time to put our new grill together HE wanted it taken care of. Our shiny, new grill is now covered with a deluxe, extra large cover, with ties on the end to keep from blowing off. Learning to take care of things is very important, maybe the effort in reading directions and tightening the screws, makes a greater impression than I realized. Of course, it is pretty neat to watch my son smile when I light the grill with the flick of a button. The button he put on, now covered with the great grill cover. In fact, the last grill I had to drop a match in to light it, probably should have covered it, don't you think?
