Pasiano's.

I gazed through the windows brightly lit with yellow curtains and quaint tables set for dinner. Small. Cozy. Warm. I immediately decided. We would eat here one night. After a full day of skiing, by my standards, 10am until 5pm, but not long enough by my husband's standards, we were going to eat at the yellow restaurant. We arrived at 6:30pm. We were all worn out, warm and hungry. The smell was wonderful as we waited for our table. Small red lights lined the windows, like red icing around a chocolate cake. I scanned the menu and knew...I would love the pasta. As we made our way to the table, I felt excitement and anticipation. We chose our selections carefully and the fresh, loaves of homemade garlic bread arrived in a red basket. Two choices of butter, all tasted wonderful. As our pasta dishes arrived, I scanned the tables for impressions. Couples. Friends. Families. Bachelors. Singles. I secretly wondered if these people were having as much fun as me? Do others find the enjoyment in yellow walls lined in red and warm bread covered in butter? As we finished our meals and discussed the possibility of dessert, I considered this the perfect day. Spent physcially from the slopes. Warm with sore muscles. Laughter from the day's stories, told by the people I love. Simpleness in knowing fullfillment from a great meal and it all began with a glance through the window that was lined with small red lights, like the icing on the chocolate cake of life.
