The Keds have become cleats. The Gap grew into a uniform.

I can still see them. Leaning against the fence at the football field. We always sat on the last bleacher so we could be close to the field and keep an eye on our children. With them only two years apart, they have shared many moments together. We started attending the Friday night football games when they were one and three. Our daughter would watch the cheerleaders through the fence and proclaim she would be a cheerleader one day and cheer for her brother. Today, this day, some 13 years later, this dream has come true. Our son will be playing in the Red and White spring football game and our daughter will be cheering for the varsity squad. I can still see them in their Ked tennis shoes and matching outfits from Gap, asking if we can go on the field after the game so they can run. I can still see my daughter in her Tullahoma cheerleader outfit, Santa brought her one Christmas, now she is wearing the real one. This year will move fast and there will be so many wonderful memories for our family. The game tonight starts at 7pm, but this dream started 13 years ago and this page in the chapter of our children's life is very special. It is here. A childhood dream has come true. No Ked tennis shoes this time. Cleats and uniforms, walking unto the field together.
