Real men crank the ball and need Spray and Wash used daily on their clothes.

Should he control the swing or just crank it? I have answered the question many times on the golf course. I always encourage the control option. The one, of course, he doesn't go for. He turns his head with that spark in his eyes, "why play if you still can't crank the ball?" Thus the furious swing and I lose sight of the ball traveling way to fast for my eyes to keep up. A straight shot with a slice to the right, at the last minute. As we hop in the golf cart, I notice some rather large pine cones, of which I stop to pick up a few for Christmas. The wind feels so good as we travel down the trail. His hair has a slight red tint, as the hours in the sun did a color job on it. He quizzes me on which club to use, and I answer, sometimes right, mostly wrong. I only ride a few holes with him, but it is fun. I don't want to interfere with his golf game or the freedom it gives him, so a few holes are just perfect. His shirt is soaking wet with splashes of tea down the front, I will need the spot remover for that one. I hop out to mind the pen or pin, not sure which one. I have learned to step away from the hole, preventing a shadow. Many things I would never have known had he not taken the time to tell me. A nice cold drink of water, a fun ride in the cart. He doesn't ask on the last hole, we both know he will crank it. Some things never change, no matter how old or how much Spray and Wash I use.
