Made compassion

I saw strength in my son that day. He had the courage to say he could not take it and did not know if he could make it. What a priviledge to have the chance to stand in the gap for him. What a blessing that he could tell me how he felt. How we teach our children about compassion begins with how we treat them. If our children see us being more tolerant and patient with total strangers than with them they will question how geniune we are. Living our lives so our children know and feel they can come to us for hope, help, love, encouragement, will teach them to do the same for others. So what did I do for those sore ankles? I bought ice packs, called his trainer, bought him some supper. He made it. The swelling went down, the pain lessened. Next. Mom I had a terrible practice. Let me hear all the details, everyone of them, and you know what? I really want to know .
