The lights lit up the field and my heart.
Well, we won 30-0. We beat Franklin Co. Our stadium just had new lights installed because of a fire hazard from the old ones. In the local paper, today, it quoted the coach telling what a big difference the new lights mean't. As we sat in the stands, I noticed the light did seem to go farther and was infact brighter. Our team was pretty bright also. My family had the t-shirts on supporting our son. Our sweet daughter sat in the middle of me and husband. She really likes to watch the games. We saw friends and enjoyed a box of popcorn. The weather was hot, muggy and the meadow larks were flying overhead catching bugs. The band played loud and we cheered our team on. I was totally thrilled when our son got the opportunity to go in at safety. I enjoyed talking to our daughter and walking to the concession stand with her. I loved being with my husband, my friend, the father of our children, as we joined our hearts together to support our children. We took our daughter to a party after the game, our son passed us headed straight for Hardee's. He wouldn't go to a party if you paid him to. The best part, we were all together. There will come a time when Friday nights will be different. We won't all be at the same place. We've had our season ticket for 13 years, but tonight the view was better, the lights were brighter and my heart was the lightest it has been in a long time.
