I looked straight ahead and missed the hole in the road.

I had a good day at work. I found my usual routine. Caught up on the latest news with everyone. Comforted anxious patients. Shared a few laughs and stories. Showed a few people my knee scar. Answered a few questions. My husband sent me a beautiful bouquet of flowers. It made me feel good. A friend called to see how I had done. Before I knew it....it was 3pm, time to go home. I made pork tenderloin, green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy and mac and cheese. Picked our daughter up from cheerleading and heard about her day. Did my 2 mile walk. My son and husband came home from their football practice. I tried to keep my eyes focused on the good stuff and guess what? It was a good day.
