College applications , homecoming , what to wear , could somebody tell me what day it is.

Just when I thought it couldn't get any busier...it did. This week started off with a bang and has not slowed for a second. Not to mention my job. It has been a complete work straight through the day without even looking up or a break week. I finally managed to look through the mail. The invitations for our son to check out colleges across the country has filled a box. He , of course , isn't worried about where he will go. He doesn't get up or down. He is always in the middle of life. Something my husband has wondered how to obtain. The homecoming activities have been sort of a chore for him to attend. I encouraged him to go as it is his senior year. I asked him about the dance...not much of a response. Our daughter is up to her eyeballs in Algebra honors homework. We have been looking for her a new outfit. I think she finally decided what she will wear to the dance. She isn't excited about going too much either. She likes her favorite TV shows and her comfy pajamas after the ballgames on Friday night. The dance will be a stretch for her. My husband and I have to put out the stadium flags before the homecoming court starts. I wanted to go see my son's last homecoming pep rally but it doesn't look possible based on the work load tommorrow. And corporations wonder why nurses get so burned out. Maybe I will take my lunch break at 1:30. The nursing shortage has become so critical that getting a day off is almost impossible thus employees call in sick. The work load is so overwhelming that new graduates cannot take the stress or physical demands of such sick patients. Even with everything going on , we still have two great teenagers that have blessed my heart to be their mother. Tommorrow will be a special day no matter what happens at work , no matter how busy. Work cannot take away the joy I feel being the mother of two of the most wonderful kids and maybe just maybe...I can make it in time to watch my girl do her tumbling routine as she cheers for her big brother's final homecoming. GO CATS!!!!!!!
