It will be seen on the film.

We watched the Fifth Quarter John Olive show this morning. It is the final part of the complete football weekend. It is fun to watch especially after such an exciting win was pulled from the football gods as a 69 yard pass was completed in the midnight sky in the midnight seconds of the game. Our son was focusing on plays and doing the rewind thing to watch in slow motion. Seeing who made the tackle , did he miss a tackle , did he do his job , you get the picture. There was this particular play where he ran a blitz and should not have. He and his dad were discussing the play and the should have done this stuff. Our son said he was going to plead his case on Monday morning when the players and coaches watch the game film together and go over plays. I hear it can be quite a humbling experience , if you get the picture. I asked him if he was worried? He said he just wanted to be prepared when his coach asks him , "Bill just what in the heck were you thinking?" We all laughed. Our time on earth is important. Every play , every opportunity , every breath , is valuable. It would be nice to watch our replays of our successes but what about the mistakes we make? Our human nature is to notice what others do wrong , funny , our son was more worried about what he did wrong. Why? Because he knew it would be on the screen for everyone else to see and know the truth. Our choices we make everyday matter. Kindness at the check-out. Patience at the red light. Forgiveness for the 2000 time. Understanding for the troubled. Tolerance for the sake of love. Going the extra mile for an unsuspecting soul. Peace to answer the angry. One day , I will see my life on the screen. I will know the truth. It won't be perfect. I have never been perfect. But , if I keep my eyes on the ball , watch the whole field , fill the gap , help someone get back up , and keep coming back to the huddle for more instructions....He will know.
