UT acceptance, Aristocats, trim the tree, hang the lights. The most wonderful time of the year.
Our son was accepted into UTKnoxville. We are pretty excited. He is neither up nor down. The semester is winding down to the end. Ordering cap and gown, all that graduation stuff. Running to Clayton's to pick up dance shoes for our daughter. Looking at the schedule this week as we get ready for Santa's workshop for the Aristocat's performances on Saturday. Add basketball games in there, watching our daughter cheer. And somewhere , somehow, we must go buy our tree, a huge tree, decorate it, hang lights outside, get out my mother's Christmas houses and travel to Nashville for a cheer competition...following the Aristocat performances. Whew!!!!! It is wonderful to be so involved and busy. There will come a time when our pace will slow down to a dull roar. There will come a time when we aren't wondering how and when we will get it all done. Saturday my husband and I will wear our Christmas aprons and serve the guests during the Santa's workshop. Our daughter will be singing. Our son will come watch her perform. We started taking them to this festive occasion when they were 2 and 4. I have pictures from each year. After all these years, we now have a child participating in the program. This is truly a special Christmas for our family. My kids say I always say this about every Christmas, but no kidding, this year is even more remarkable. Each moment our family spends enjoying the holiday season is another reminder of miracles happening. Instead of the movie Miracle on 42nd Street, our movie would be called, Miracle on 139th Avenue. Happy Holidays!!!!!
