Take a trip to Goodwill, it will do you some good.
I have always been a fan of Goodwill. Yes, I want goodwill towards all men, but I am talking about the store chain, Goodwill. I learned to appreciate this treasure, many years ago with my mother. I learned early on that these stores offer wonderful clothing, dishes, lamps, just to name a few. I have shared my stories of great purchases with friends. Most of my clothing comes from Goodwill and I don't mind telling people that I shop there. Today, I realized my son had outgrown his navy sports jacket that is required for all away football games. I had asked him to try it on last week and of course he did not, so today, two days before he needs it, we find out it is too little. I immediately go to our local Goodwill store, since last year I purchased my son's jacket for 9.99. It was tailor made from a local men's shop in town, and brand new cost 165.00. When I arrived at the store I reconized another mom going through the sports coat section. She told me one of our friends had suggested she come here. As I began going through the coats, it became obvious there were not many left. Later on I was talking to another mom at church and she said they all followed my advice and went to Goodwill and saved a ton of money. I laughed to myself as I am driving to another Goodwill store looking for a jacket. I finally found one in Manchester, Tn. I got a brand new Ralph Lauren, white button down for 2.50 and a wool blazer for 8.99. Can't beat those prices. I have already washed and starched the shirt and my son has his football outfit ready to go for tommorrow. I got alittle nervous when I could not find a coat at our local store, I even called my mother-in-law, but I suddenly remembered there was a new store in Manchester and I drove to that one. Maybe I better not tell everyone all my secrets, I almost cost myself alot of money. It was worth it to hear my friends tell me what a great bargain they got and how much money they saved. Who knew that just a little information could go such a long way and help so many people? Those young men will look even more handsome in their coats, knowing it did not cost a fortune to dress them. Take a trip to your local Goodwill store. It will change your pocketbook.
