Deck the halls, make a reindeer, ringaling, Santa. The red sparkling dress.

Today was the Santa's Workshop I have been telling you about. It has been a busy three days but this morning was the reason it was worth every bit of hard work and money. The sheer joy of being around children while they decorated their crafts is what makes Christmas so fun. The beauty of the Christmas caroles sung by the young people. Each child made their antlers a different way. Some wanted help. Others were offended at the offering. It was fun to see friends and their children. One family in particular attracted my attention. They had two children, both blonde. The oldest a boy and the youngest a girl. I guess they were about 3 and 5 or 4 and 6. The sparkle in their eye reminded me of our children. I told the little girl that my daughter came to this program when she was little and now she is singing and wearing the "red sparkly dress." I told her that maybe one day she would be up there singing. I looked up to catch a glimpse of our now grown up girl. Many things have stayed the same. She loves big sparkling earrings, a touch of make-up, hates panty hose (hated tights), loves alittle lipgloss, and has always liked sparkling clothing (wore a pair of Dorothy shoes until her toes curled up). Her dad waited the tables as the festive people ate their brunch food. The time passed so quickly, just like the last 13 years, when we started attended this occasion and our daughter said, "I'm gonna sing and wear that red dress one day momma." And she did.
